Gina Dalmas: A Special Performance Before Come From Away

Before Come From Away takes the stage on Thursday, September 17, join us for an intimate performance featuring Gina Dalmas with Chris May and Greg Wikle.
Beginning at 6:45 PM, the trio will bring their roots-inspired sound to the Wells for a stripped-down performance created especially for the evening.
It’s a fitting way to begin a night with Come From Away. Both are grounded in music, storytelling, and a strong sense of place and community. Gina, Chris, and Greg will set the mood before audiences settle in for the remarkable story of the people of Newfoundland who opened their homes and hearts to thousands of strangers.

Gina Dalmas is a Norfolk-based country and Americana artist with what has been described as a “rock ’n’ roll heart.” Raised in the foothills of North Carolina, Gina grew up surrounded by classic country and honky-tonk music, influences that continue to shape her sound today.
Her music reaches deep into the roots of country while drawing inspiration from an eclectic collection of artists, from Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynn to The Pretenders, Blondie, The Beatles, Big Star, and The Cars. The result is music that feels both familiar and distinctly her own: honest, heartfelt, a little irreverent, and grounded in great storytelling.
