This isn’t a “greatest hits” tribute or simply a collection of Jerry songs. Each performance is based on an actual Jerry Garcia Band setlist from a specific night and era, recreated with the arrangements, tempos, instrumentation, gear, groove and feel that made those shows so special.   The result is something that goes far beyond hearing familiar songs. It’s about recreating the Jerry Garcia Band experience as it actually happened — the warmth, the soul, the deep grooves, the beautiful ballads, the improvisation and that unmistakable healing tone.   Jacklyn LaBranch, who sang with the Jerry Garcia Band for more than a decade, said it beautifully:“They remind me of what it felt like to sing these beautiful songs with Jerry Garcia.”   And longtime Grateful Dead publicist and Jerry Garcia biographer Dennis McNally said:“…they almost make me feel like I’m back in, say, 1992 at the Warfield.”   Those who have experienced The Garcia Project before already know why their audiences return year after year.
