Johnny Burgin and Emiliano Juarez Blues Duo

Emiliano Juarez is widely recognized as one of the best blues guitarists in Mexico, and his fiery and melodic style has kept him in demand with leading players across South America, Europe and California. Emiliano has often worked with Johnny Burgin in Mexico, and they are happy to join together at Ubuntu-huset for Emiliano’s Denmark debut. While Emiliano mostly favor a West Coast jump style of blues, Johnny’s roots are in the traditional Chicago style of the 50s. Johnny grew up in the Southern US and moved to Chicago, attending ‘blues school’ with masters such as Tail Dragger and Sam Lay. He went on to tour extensively under his own name and record for Delmark and Straight Shooter (DK) records.
